Are you interested in learning key word sign to help people with communication difficulties have a say in life?
Parents, teachers, therapists, support workers and allied health students are all welcome to this fun, practical and informative workshop. The workshop is run by Tania Teitzel and Jacqui Sullivan our experienced accredited Key Word Sign Presenters and members of our speech pathology team.
Key Word Sign (KWS) can be used to support individuals with communication difficulties to understand and get their message across to others. In this workshop, you will learn the principles of KWS and gesture, who it can be used with and how it can be used alongside other ways of communicating. You will also learn up to 80 new signs along with common natural gestures, with opportunities to practice in a safe & fun group environment. You will leave the workshop with a detailed plan of the next steps in your KWS journey, as well as a host of helpful resources to support your learning.
