The Key City Youth Summit brings together Frederick's most dedicated mentors, educators, youth advocates, and—most importantly—young leaders for three transformative days of learning, connection, and action.
This youth-led summit centers the voices and experiences of students while creating meaningful dialogue between generations. Through panel discussions, hands-on workshops, guided reflection, and community engagement, participants will explore what it takes to build mentoring relationships that truly empower young people.

Thursday
Info: Thursday evening kicks off with networking and a Critical Mentoring Panel featuring leaders from city government, schools, and community organizations discussing what makes mentoring relationships work.
Friday
Info: Friday dives deep into best practices with Mentoring 101 workshop, an innovative Youth & Tech session exploring digital equity and opportunity, community walks connecting youth to Frederick's civic spaces, and workshops on mentoring through the arts and civic leadership. The day closes with a fireside chat on meeting youth where they are.
Saturday
Info: Saturday elevates youth voice with a powerful Youth Leadership Panel where students lead conversations on what adults need to know, youth mental health, and economic empowerment. Local elected officials join for an informal brunchside conversation, and the summit closes with workshops on mentoring through athletics and civic leadership before celebrating student achievements.
