Beginning with the band Donnybrook Fair in 1979, Kevin McKrell is an American-Celtic music pioneer who later established a powerhouse band under his own name, The McKrells. Merging the Irish sensibility of Donnybrook with a steely, world- class bluegrass edge, The McKrells have remained a popular fixture among the Irish music scene for the past quarter-century. Also recording four solo albums, Kevin McKrell is known for his indelible songs "Donegal", "You and Me", "I Miss the Rain" and "All of The Hard Days Are Gone" which have been sung and recorded by artists like The Kingston Trio, The Furey Brothers, Seamus Kennedy, The Druids, The Dublin City Ramblers among many others. Kevin McKrell and his bands have performed for audiences at the top Celtic, Folk and Bluegrass festivals as well as iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Berklee Performance Hall, Proctors Theater, The Sellersville Theater, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Troy Music Hall, The Egg and many more.
