On this 3 hour course you will be guided through the ancient Korean technique of Keum-boo to create a design of your choice.
You will learn how to make a beautiful textured pendant or pair of earrings in fine silver and add a striking detail of 24ct gold.
You will:
* Test applying textures on metal using papers and fabrics in a rolling mill and a range of hammers
* Design your pendant or earrings
* Cut the gold Keum-boo foil to the desired shape using paper cutting stamps, scissors or craft knife
* Apply gold foil onto your fine silver sheet using heat and pressure
* Roll or hammer your texture
* Cut sheet metal using disc cutters, shaped cutters, piercing saw or shears
* File and sand shape to refine design
* Burnish edges
* Add fittings and findings to complete design
