New York, NY — DRO|TIME, a solo exhibiNon by acclaimed Georgian mulNdisciplinary arNst KeN Davlianidze, curated by Nino Macharashvili, will be on view at Marisa Newman Projects from August 15 to 17, 2025. The public is invited to a[end the opening recepNon on Friday, August 15, from 6–8 PM.
DRO|TIME invites audiences to engage with the emoNonal and cultural landscapes explored in Davlianidze’s pracNce—marked by memory, idenNty, and transformaNon. Her work navigates the deeply personal while resonaNng universally, capturing the complexiNes of displacement, resilience, and longing.
Born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1976, KeN Davlianidze is recognized as one of the leading voices in contemporary Georgian art. A graduate of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and Sergo Kobuladze’s studio, her mulNdisciplinary pracNce spans painNng, drawing, illustraNon, sculpture, and photography. SensiNve yet bold, her visual language transcends borders and speaks to the power of art in navigaNng life’s dualiNes—absence and presence, fragility and strength, sorrow and hope.
Davlianidze’s work has been widely exhibited in Georgia and internaNonally, with pieces held in esteemed private and public collecNons across the United States, China, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Bulgaria. In Georgia, her work is part of the permanent collecNons of insNtuNons such as the Sighnaghi NaNonal Museum and the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts.
DRO|TIME serves as both a personal and collecNve gesture—an arNsNc asserNon of conNnuity, memory, and shared humanity amid an increasingly fragmented world. Through evocaNve forms and deeply introspecNve themes, Davlianidze offers viewers a powerful reminder of art’s role in fostering empathy, connecNon, and resilience.
