Join us at a our annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! The event takes place in front of the Kentwood Library starting with the holiday light parade. There will also be a ballet performance, snow globe photos, take-home kid’s crafts, caroling, and of course a visit from Santa! Patty Matters food truck will be on site with food and beverages for purchase. Coffee and hot chocolate will also be available for purchase from Palmer House Coffee.We will be accepting non-perishable food donations for our Little Free Pantry to help us through the winter season.
3rd Annual Student Essay Contest
Essay topic: What do the holidays mean to you?
We are once again holding an essay contest for a chance to be the Grand Marshall in our Holiday Light Parade and help Mayor Kepley light the City of Kentwood's tree. Contest is open to kids ages 5-18 who are Kentwood residents OR students who attend school in Kentwood, Kelloggsville, Forest Hills, or Caledonia school districts. Holiday Light Parade will begin at 6pm.
The parade route will start at Kentwood Public Works parking lot at 5068 Breton SE. Parade will exit out the driveway on Breton and travel north and end at Kentwood Justice Center. If you'd like to participate in the parade register online at https://bit.ly/kentwoodholidayparade
