Hey Barbourville! Kentucky’s Best Chicken and Dumpling Contest is almost here. We need your help!The Daniel Boone Festival, in partnership with the Barbourville Tourism Commission, is thrilled to host the most mouth-watering event at our Daniel Boone Festival: the Kentucky’s Best Chicken and Dumpling Contest! In the hills of Knox County, where our traditions run deep and flavor runs even deeper, we’re looking for the finest cooks this side of the Cumberland River to compete in a showdown of the ultimate southern comfort food.
**How to Participate:**
1. Ask your friends and family to comment on this post with your name.
2. You have until **12:00 PM on Friday October 3rd** to gather mentions.
3. Those with the most mentions will be selected to compete!
**Preliminary Event Details:**
- **Date:** Thursday, October 9th
- **Time:** 6:00PM
- **Location:** Court Square
Selected participants will bring a sampling of their famous dumplings to be judged through a rigorous process.
**Finals:**
- **Date:** Saturday, October 11th
- **Time:** 12:00 PM
- Participants will prepare their dumplings live for the judges.
The **Kentucky’s Best Chicken and Dumpling Champion** will be announced just before the parade begins! Don’t miss out on this delicious dumpling competition!
