Kentucky Derby Day: Catch the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby, the first leg of the Triple Crown. Lone Star Park’s Grandstand will open early at 10:30 a.m. The first live Lone Star Park race will begin at 1:35 p.m. and the Kentucky Derby simulcast will be at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Best Hat Contest: Wear your favorite Kentucky Derby hat to the races! We will be awarding two grand prizes in our Kentucky Derby Hat Contest for “The Most Stylish” and “The Most Creative” with both winners receiving $500. Judging begins at 3:00 p.m. in the Courtyard of Champions. *
Live Music: We’ll have live music on the Courtyard of Champions Stage from Noon to 5 p.m., featuring Emerald City’s Downtown Fever Band.
Family Fun Activities: Kids can enjoy the Petting Zoo, Pony Rides and Games from Noon to 5 p.m. on the apron lawn.
*Must be present in the Courtyard of Champions by 3:00 p.m. to be considered. Must be 18 years of age or older.
