For one night only Honeywood is turning into a Ouita Michel Steakhouse. Featuring one of our favorite partners, the Berry Center, and their local beef from Henry County, and bourbon cocktails, flights and pairings. We will have an executive bourbon steward in house to answer any questions for those looking to learn a little while enjoying the nights offerings. The Berry Center established Our Home Place Meat in 2017 to develop a cooperative for small to midsize livestock farmers to sell local meat to regional markets. Beginning in our Home Place, Henry County Kentucky, we are building a healthy food and farm model that can be replicated in communities throughout the country.
Based on agrarian writings of well-known author Wendell Berry, Our Home Place Meat is guided by these values: Fair compensation for farmers, high animal welfare standards, good farming and land management practices and neighborly, cooperative relationships.
