Hailing from Quebec, Canada, D.B. Cohen brings a fusion of musical influences that blend seamlessly into a unique sound reminiscent of legends like Bob Dylan, Ray Davies, Madness, The Stones, and Two Tone Ska.
Cohen's musical journey took flight in the heart of London's vibrant music scene, where he made a pivotal connection with Snowboy at Madame Jojo's. This encounter led to the production of his debut album, "Scratchcards & Wine," a labor of love recorded analog-style, capturing the essence of his soulful sound.
Featuring a star-studded lineup of musicians including Mark Saunders, Rusty Bradshaw, Ladonna Harley-Peters, and members of iconic bands like The Specials and James Taylor Quartet, Cohen's album garnered attention both locally and internationally. Tracks like "Stars" and "Uncommon Love" found their way onto the French version of 'The Voice,' while "Shit Jobs" was featured in the TV documentary 'For the Love of Mod.'
Now, residing in Quebec, Cohen continues to evolve his sound, collaborating with acclaimed blues bassist Laura Greenberg and local legends Wicked Grin. His forthcoming album, "UNLEASHED," promises to be a testament to his growth as an artist, featuring collaborations with fellow Ramrock Records label mate Pauline Taylor on the track "Made it Home."
