Nutritional Modulation of the GI Microbiome - This seminar will cover the basics about the fascinating world of the microbiome. It touches on the power of the microbiome to transform gut health. Participants will learn what tools exist to manipulate microbiome health and explore the evidence that exists to support their use in pets. The roles of prebiotics, probiotics and post biotics to achieve a stable biome will be covered.Nutritional Management of Canine Allergic Skin Disease - In this program, attendees will find a case-based approach to management of environmental and food allergies in dogs. Specifically, they will learn the most common sources of food and environmental allergens, recommended diagnostics when these animals present, and treatment options available. Within treatment options, there will be a focus on nutritional management through use of hydrolyzed or limited ingredient foods for food allergies and specific nutritional management strategies for canine atopic dermatitis.
