They are also at the church office in advance or $30 at the door.

Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable donations for the Comox Valley Foodbank, as well; there will be a collection box at the door.

Known to many in the Comox Valley, musician/comedian Kenny Shaw is a multiple BCCMA awards winner and Hall of Famer. He is a sought-after performer at festivals, conventions, and on cruise ships. He was recipient of the Queen's Sovereign Medal for Volunteers.

Other members of the trio include veteran musicians--Valori Schaefer, a vocalist and bass ukelele player, veteran of theatre and vocal ensembles; and vocalist and multiple instrumentalist, Brian Temple.

Temple is an original member of The Hudson Brothers (NBC's Razzle Dazzle in the 70s). During the "request" portion of the show, test his extensive knowledge of rock and Roll hits.

At the Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA), the mission is to help children, youth and adults with diverse abilities in the Comox Valley to reach their highest potential. Through a wide range of services, they help local children (from Mud Bay to Oyster River), who have developmental delays or simply just need a little bit of extra support. They work not only directly with children and their families but also with their care professionals and teachers, either at our Centre or out in the community.

St. George’s raises funds through a variety of events during the year to benefit local non-profits. In 2023, the church donated more than $40,000 to community groups, including Habitat for Humanity, LUSH, the Comox Valley Food Bank, the Coldest Night of the Year, the Comox Valley Child Development Association, the Transition Society, and many others.

Located in the heart of downtown Courtenay at 505 6th Street, St. George’s United Church is a spiritually vibrant, inclusive, justice-seeking community of faith that has been changing lives in the Comox Valley for over a century.
