Welcome to the First Annual Kennedy Creek Old Time Music Festival located at Kennedy Creek Resort in Suches Ga., in the Blue Ridge mountains, just minutes from downtown Dahlonega. We'll have 3 Days of jamming, camping, fiddle , guitar, and banjo workshops with Emily Schaad, John Herrmann, Meredith McIntosh, Frank and Allie Lee with concerts Friday and Saturday evening with The Freighthoppers and The Craggy Mountain Newfounders , good eats available, all in the beautiful setting of the North Georgia Mountains. UPDATE: ALL CABINS AND BUNKHOUSES HAVE BEEN RENTED, HOWEVER THERE ARE(AS OF 9/15) ROUGHLY 17 BEDS LEFT IN THE DORMITORY(8.5 BUNKBEDS). 2 YURT STYLE TENTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AND CAN BE BOOKED THROUGH KENNEDY CREEK RESORTS WEBSITE https://kennedycreekresort.com/yurt/ .
THE FESTIVAL SITE IS ROUGHLY 40 ACRES, PLENTY OF CAMPING SPACE, NO HOOKUPS, DUMPING AVAILABLE AT TURNERS CAPGROUND ABOUT 30 MINUTES AWAY.
Kennedy Creek Resort’s Log Cabins are your “home away from home”. They feature luxurious accommodations complete with gourmet kitchen, dining/living room, two bathrooms, “rocking chair” front porch, screened back porch overlooking a mountain stream in a lush fern forest setting. Each cabin has a downstairs bedroom with a king size bed and an upstairs bedroom with two twin beds. In addition to the two bedrooms, the Bearcat, Husky & Piper cabins have a loft area above the kitchen with two full size beds. The Mustang cabin has two bunk beds (4 twins) in this loft area, instead of the two full beds. The Cub cabin only has the king size bed downstairs and two twin beds in an upstairs loft. Cabins have satellite TV with VCR/DVD, AM/FM & CD, wood burning fireplace (wood not included) and gas grill. Cabins do not have telephones, there is a cell phone tower nearby. Cabins have all necessary kitchen, bedroom and bath linens.There are also designated areas around the cabins with picnic tables and fire rings.
Also available are 4 bunkhouses or "Mini cabins" with Heat and Air as well as a dorm house for those seeking comfort on a budget.
