The Old Blue Gang are a band on a mission - “To reclaim the sounds and stories of America, one song at a time.” Their music has been described as “alt-Americana at its most uncompromising” and music for late-night drives, long shadows, and hearts that never settle”. Led by guitarist and songwriter Ken Woods, the OBG make their first visit to West Malvern Social Club with an evening digging deep into the full breadth of American music in its purest and rawest form, including songs from their acclaimed debut album, Silent Spike. From Roots to Blues, Americana to Rockabilly, and seasoned with a spicy dash of Psychedelic Cowboy hot sauce, the OBG are coming to take listeners on a journey from roadhouse to railway, from backyard parties to historical reckonings.

“a gut-punch of an album, an education in melody and memory, and one of the most important musical statements of the year." Apricot Magazine
"Ken Woods and the Old Blue Gang double down on everything that makes their sound so compelling—face-melting riffs, swampy groove, cinematic storytelling—and aim it squarely at one of the darkest corners of American history." Odyssey
a blood-and-rust roots-rock epic, where every note feels lived in and every lyric hits like truth long denied... using distortion, sweat, and song to demand remembrance." Melodrift
"With Silent Spike, Woods digs up the bones of America’s past, sets them on fire, and plays lead guitar over the flames.” Fame
"Ken Woods’ new project explores the rough-edged fabric of Americana. Drawing from blues, folk, country and jazz, The Old Blue Gang presents a sound crafted by someone who’s studied the canon, internalised it and now writes his own footnotes with conviction....a spectacular showcase of the band’s musical range while remaining steadfast in Ken Woods’ focused vision."
