Keltic Reign returns for their (mostly) annual New Year show!
The original band started out back in 2000, with band leader Mitzi missing the music from her home province of Nova Scotia. Over the last 24 years, the group has evolved into a family band, with Mitzi’s three children playing alongside her. Keltic Reign’s music is a blend of Irish, Scottish, and East Coast Canadian music, along with Mitzi’s originals. Performing in the band is two of the founding members – singer Randy Getz and guitarist Michael Levine. Marc Waters joined the group on drums a few years back, along with Mitzi’s son Andrew on bass. Mitzi’s two daughters, Holly and Ashby, love to incorporate tunes from their traditional Irish music background on the fiddle and accordion.
Keltic Reign has performed at countless concerts and events, most notably The Whitaker Music Festival at Missouri Botanical Gardens, numerous shows at The Sheldon Concert Hall, Twilight Tuesday at the History Museum, and multiple appearances at First Night in Grand Center. Their show, Christmas in the Kitchen, has become a major charity fundraiser in the St. Louis community for 20 years and running. They have performed numerous sold out shows here at the Focal Point, and are a crowd favorite at the MO River Irish Festival and Scottish Games. They are excited to be coming back to Focal Point to kick off another great year!
