Kelly Virgin-Ginn — vocalist, Brain Cashwell — pianoKelly Virgin-Ginn originally hails from Eastern Kentucky where she began piano lessons at age five, became a teacher herself in high school, and went on to receive a degree in music education from Morehead State University. During her student days she taught at the Morehead Academy of Arts, and after college moved to Ohio and taught music at Lebanon City Schools until taking a break from teaching to start a family.
Kelly is once again active in the music world. She has returned to her lifelong roots as a church accompanist at One Community Church in Monroe, Ohio, and is now ready to take her place behind the mic again, sharing her vocal stylings with a fresh, new vision colored by all her past influences from rock to country, gospel to soul, and classical to jazz.
Brian Cashwell maintains an active and varied performing and teaching schedule throughout Ohio and the Midwest. Equally, at home in jazz and classical idioms, he directs the Jazz Ensemble at Wright State University, where he has also taught jazz history, jazz improvisation, class piano, jazz piano, and world music courses. He has also collaborated in concerts WSU Women’s Chorale, Collegiate Chorale, and various student and faculty recitals. He is also a faculty member of the Miami Valley Jazz Camp and maintains a private piano teaching studio.
$10 drink minimum charged per person in the party, per set, if the total for beverages purchased by the party does not meet the minimum.
