About this Event
Kellogg Cares Day - Seattle
Please join other Kellogg alums, their families, and friends for a day of community service and fun at Fenster Nature Park in Auburn, WA! Kellogg Cares Day is about giving back to our local community and making a positive impact.
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and help restore the banks of the Green/Duwamish River as Kellogg alumni partner with the Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group. Local resident Orcas depend on healthy salmon populations for their diet. Removing invasive plants and planting native plants along river banks is one way to help salmon populations thrive! Tree canopy along rivers provides shade to keep the water cool and tree roots keep soil in place to prevent erosion from clouding the water.
Not only will you be making a difference, but you'll also have a great time connecting with fellow volunteers and enjoying the beauty of nature. So mark your calendars and join us for Kellogg Cares Day - Seattle at Fenster Nature Park. Together, let's make our community even better!
Space is limited, so please make sure you are available to participate before registering. Partners, friends, and children are welcome. All volunteers will receive a complementary Kellogg Cares Day t-shirt and other Kellogg swag.
Closed toe shoes are required. Bring gardening gloves if you have them. Long sleeves and thick leg coverings are recommended to protect against thorny bushes.
Following the restoration we will be gathering at the Spunky Monkey Bar & Grill (124 2nd St SE in Auburn, WA) for a complimentary happy hour lunch.
