About this Event
Nollaig na mBan North Inner City Festival is thrilled to welcome local hero Kellie Harrington, one of our 2025 awardees, for an intimate conversation at Charleville Mall Library on Monday, 6 January.
Born and reared in the north inner city, Kellie lives with her wife Mandy in the same area she grew up in and continues to inspire young people locally, nationally and globally with her incredible achievements in sport.
As an amateur boxer, Kellie is a double Olympic gold medalist at Tokyo 2020 and most recently at Paris 2024 - making her the first Irish boxer to win consecutive Olympic gold medals! She also won gold at the 2018 Women’s World Boxing Championships, 2023 European Games and 2022 European Championships, among many other accolades.
Kellie's achievements have been honoured by the awarding of the Freedom of Dublin City in 2022, when she was also featured in a stamp collection from An Post to celebrate International Women's Day. That same year, her autobiography Kellie, written with Roddy Doyle was published. Kellie will join us for a conversation with friend and local representative Cllr Niall Ring.
This is a free event but tickets are limited to two per person due to limited capacity.
Nollaig na mBan Festival is kindly supported by Dublin City Council and the NEIC, Dublin Port, Inner City Trust and the North Inner City Community Safety Partnership.
