Keirokai is a traditional Japanese celebration that honors and expresses gratitude to elders in the community. It is often held in connection with Respect for the Aged Day (敬老の日, Keirō no Hi), a national holiday in Japan.As part of our Keirokai celebration, Regina Hibiki Taiko is excited to offer a special mini workshop just for our senior members from 4:30-5:00pm! Taiko is more than just music—it's a full-body experience that promotes physical coordination, mental focus, and emotional well-being. Drumming has been shown to enhance mobility, boost cognitive function, and encourage social connection—all of which contribute to healthy lifestyle. No experience is needed, just come and enjoy the fun!
Doors will open at 5:00 pm for our potluck party and opportunity to gather and visit while we celebrate the wisdom, contributions, and the enduring presence of our senior members.
* Non-members Guest Event Fees are: $5 single / $15 family
