Explore the upper reaches of North Beck, a key tributary of the River Worth, on a tranquil route through Holme House Woods to Goose Eye, past Tea Pot Dam, and on to the Clapper Bridge at Newsholme Dean, before returning via Laycock.This 4.5-mile walk is considered leisurely, but please be aware it includes tricky uneven terrain, stiles, muddy sections, stream crossings, and some steep uphill climbs. Sturdy footwear and a reasonable level of fitness and ability are required.
The walk has been risk assessed, but participants are responsible for their own safety. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and be prepared for changeable weather. Bring a packed lunch. Children accompanied by parents or a responsible adult, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join us.
