This new to world style brings together the smoothness and richness of Irish whiskey with the boldness and complexity of American whiskey. World renowned Master Distiller, Brian Nation, hailing from Ireland, and best known for his work with Irish distillers on iconic whiskey brands such as Jameson, Redbreast, and Midleton has collaborated with the wizard of American whiskey and founder of High West Distillery, David Perkins to bring together the best of Irish and American whiskey-making traditions. Since launching, Keeper’s Heart Whiskey has earned 150 awards and accolades across leading whiskey competitions including, World's Best Irish Whiskey at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, “Best Whiskey in a Highball,” at the World Cocktail Championships by the Beverage Testing Institute, Platinum at the Critics Challenge International Spirits Competition, Triple Gold at the MicroLiquor Spirit Awards, and a 96 points and a Platinum at the Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards.
Kate Douglas, our speaker: Kate Douglas was recently featured in Forbes as one of 10 Women Changing the Whiskey Industry. She is a highly skilled and accomplished distiller with a decade of experience in the industry. She earned her BS in Fermentation Science and Technology from Colorado State University and holds a Diploma in Distilling from the Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers. Kate's expertise includes a successful tenure as Head Distiller at Old Elk Distillery, where she honed her craft before joining O'Shaughnessy Distilling Company. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for crafting multiple award-winning products. At OSDC, Kate leads the quality program, ensuring excellence across the entire production process, from brewing to bottling. As Innovations Manager, she thrives on developing new mash bills and expertly finishing Keeper's Heart whiskies in a variety of unique casks.
