There is no floating market at this year's Canal Festival as the Waterways are closed due to drought.However.....we have got some of our traders setting up their stalls inside Tooley's boatyard historic dry dock and on Friday and Saturday evening we are very happy to be hosting local boater talents on stage, with music from the wonderful 3 Idle Women, Oxford Classic Jazz Duo, Brewer's Daughter, Sea Green Singers, The Village Butty Band and more!!
Tooley's boatyard is struggling to stay open due to loosing all its business since the drought hit in August so this is an event aiming to raise awareness of the threat faced by this historic boatyard and the wider canal network, and raise some money and fill the dock with traders and entertainment and general cheer!
