Meet KEEN on campus and discover how you can get started volunteering with the charity.Volunteering with KEEN is an amazing opportunity to gain new skills, make new friends and most importantly have fun! The majority of our volunteers are students at Oxford’s universities, colleges or sixth-forms, but everyone is very welcome. At Keen, there are two main types of volunteer: Session Buddies and KEEN Buddies.
Session buddies are paired with one of our young people at one of our sessions. They participate in the activities and help their buddy to get the most out of them too!
‘KEEN Community Buddies’ is our one-on-one scheme, creating connections based on shared interest. Participants and buddies meet up and do fun activities of their choice, from a trip to the cinema to going bowling together. Disabled people and people with additional needs are especially encouraged to apply to be buddies!
Volunteering with KEEN is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and try something new. No experience is needed.
