CHAEYEON LEE, COMPOSER & PIANIST
Chaeyeon Lee gets inspiration from various music genres such as Buddhist, traditional Korean, and classical music. She also uses storytelling and imagery as fuels in her compositions and performances. She aims to collaborate with various artistic disciplines such as improvisation and combining electronic sounds and ambience with acoustic sounds, allowing audiences to reinterpret her music and interpret their own experiences. She has performed at major local venues including Jazz Station, Sounds, Sur La Place, Roskam, Tour&Taxi and Flagey, officially invited by Museum Nights, Brussels Jazz Weekend, Femina Jazz Week and so on.
ROBIN LISANDRU COUDERC, BASSIST
Robin Lisandru Couderc grew up playing music in Seine-et-Marne, where he came into contact with a number of musicians, developing his listening skills, his inspiration and his playing of the bass and then the double bass. After attending the Conservatoire Régional de Paris and the Conservatoire Royale de Bruxelles, his musical experience was mainly built up during collective improvisation sessions, which defined the contours of his musical universe. With a particular passion for experimental music, he is now pursuing a career in acousmatic composition, focusing on the morphology of sounds while applying these concepts to his instrumental playing.
*This performance is presented in collaboration with the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
