KCA Prom 2025
Welcome to KCA Prom 2025! Get ready for a night to remember at The Bowery House and Gardens. Put on your best outfit, dance the night away, and make unforgettable memories with your friends. This event promises to be the highlight of your year.
Katy Classical Academy cordially invites high school homeschool students and their guests to attend an exciting event - full of friends, music, photos, light snacks, and dancing. This chaperoned event will be perfect for teenagers coming by themselves, with a teen guest, or with a group.
This dance is for mature teens, and it will be held at The Bowery House and Gardens in Old Katy. It is open to all home-school HIGH SCHOOL AGE students and their guests in the Houston area. We have limited spots, SO GET YOUR TICKETS SOON!
Prom 2025 Code of Conduct
Parents and students should read the information below. If purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to these terms electronically when you register.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
Because we are trying to maintain a safe, respectful, and appropriate environment for everyone at the event, we ask everyone to observe the following behavior guidelines. If we notice someone behaving in a way that is detrimental to this type of environment, that behavior will addressed appropriately by an adult chaperone. Continued disrespectful or inappropriate behavior will ultimately result in the student being asked to leave the facility premises.
The following regulations are to be followed by attendees:
- You must be high school age to attend this dance. (You must true high school age, turning the age 14 by September 1, 2025.)
2. Principles of appropriate behavior and attire will be expected and these guidelines and the decisions of all chaperones are to be respected.
3. Dancing is to be tasteful. Chaperones have the right to make corrections and or ask someone to leave. There will be no close body contact dancing or inappropriate physical displays of affection. Students are requested to refrain from public displays of affection. If behavior is determined to be inappropriate, students will be asked to leave. There will be no refunds issued with this dance.
4. No outside foods, beverages, alcohol, illegal drugs of any kind, tobacco products or smoking will be allowed.
5. There will be no running, rough-housing or playing of sports in the facility. This is a semi-formal event for mature students, and attendees are to responsibly care for the rented facility.
6. Any damage caused to public or private property will be the responsibility of the student Involved.
- Teens are to stay inside the building or on the deck above while the dance is occurring. Students may not linger or loiter in the parking lots or on the patio below.
8. The dance will end promptly at 11:00. All teens must be picked up or must leave at this time.
Dress Code
Our dress code provides standards to insure a modest, well-groomed appearance for all students. While fashion trends change frequently, it is up to the discretion of the chaperones whether specific clothing meets the modesty requirements or becomes a distraction to the dance environment.
The overall goal is for everyone to have an enjoyable and memorable evening. It is uncomfortable for both the chaperones and attendees to correct attire outside of the dress code. Please make sure that you are within the above guideline as these standards will be upheld. If you have questions about your attire, please ask before the dance.
Ladies: Dress at all times should be modest and in good taste. Please use discretion to assure your selection is tasteful and above reproach. If your dress is not acceptable, you will not be allowed to enter the dance.
- Dress for this event can include both long and shorter dresses.
- No visible undergarments—appropriate undergarments should be worn butshould not show at any time during this event.
- No dresses or skirts shorter than fingertip length when standing straight up.If the dress is shorter than your fingertips, then do not wear it!
- If dress has a slit, it should follow the same measurement as above. Slit canbe no higher than your fingertips when standing up straight.
- Strapless dresses are allowed, but remember that you will be moving!Strapless or off-the-shoulder tops or dresses should be selected carefully toensure modesty.
- Partially open backs are acceptable but should be chosen in good taste.
- Dresses should be chosen that are not low cut in the front. Lower cuts in thechest areas are inappropriate and not acceptable for this dance. Dresses that show cleavage and are too low will not be admitted into the dance.
Gentlemen: Appropriate attire for this event includes dress slacks with a button-down shirt, a tie or a jacket or a suit and a tie. Jackets and ties may be removed during dancing.
- Jeans are not suitable for this event.
- No t-shirts or athletic clothing of any kind are suitable for this event.
Facilities.Students are expected to be good stewards of the physical resources at the building. They are also expected to be models of good citizenship by keeping the facility clean and refraining from actions that are destructive to the property or disrespectful to others.
- There will be no running, rough-housing or playing of sports in the facility.
- Students are permitted to be in the dance section of the clubhouse, the roof of the clubhouse, and bathrooms. There are some areas of the building that are “out of bounds” to students at all times. These include, but are not limited to the parking lot, (unless coming and going), the kitchen, and offices.
- Students will remain under adult supervision while on the premises. Being absent from the dance without the knowledge or permission of parents or KCA staff will be treated as a disciplinary issue.
- The Legal Stuff

I hereby consent to my student at the attendance at the Katy Classical Academy Dance, 2025. I understand that there are some risks associated with these events, and I knowingly release KCA and its members from any and all liabilities occurring as a result of their sponsorship and management of this event. In the event of an emergency, I hereby authorize the event directors to immediately seek medical treatment as they deem necessary.
I understand that I am responsible for all medical costs incurred. I understand that if my teen is driving to and from the event, he/she will be allowed to leave the event at the time of his/her choosing without any adult supervision. Students may not re-enter after leaving the venue.
Indemnity/Hold Harmless Agreement: In consideration of being permitted to en- ter property rented by Katy Classical Academy for the purposes of the KCA Dance, and using certain equipment and/or other items of personal property rented or owned by KCA, student(s) listed and their parent/guardian listed, his/ her legal guardians, legal representatives, heirs and assigns (hereinafter referred to as "Releasor"), hereby releases, waives and discharges KCA and its mem- bers, leadership, sponsors and Board of Advisors, and their heirs or assigns (hereinafter referred to as "Releasees"), from all liability to the Releasor, his/her legal guardians, legal representatives, heirs and assigns, for any and all loss or damage, and any claim, demand, action, right of action or damages of whatever kind or nature at law or in equity, resulting therefrom, on account of injury (known or unknown) to Releasor's person or property, even injury resulting in death of Releasor, whether caused by the negligence of Releasees or otherwise while the Releasor is on or about any property owned by Releasees for the purpose above described. RELEASOR AGREES TO INDEMNIFY RELEASEES AND EACH OF THEM FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE OR COST THEY MAY INCUR DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF RELEASOR IN OR UPON THE PROPERTY RENTED BY KCA FOR THE PURPOSE OF TEEN DANCE, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.
Releasor hereby assumes full responsibility for the risk of bodily injury, death or property damage due to the negligence of Releasor, Releasees or otherwise while in or upon the property rented by KCA for the purpose of the KCA DANCE. Releasor expressly agrees that this release, waiver and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Texas, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. This Release con- tains the entire agreement between Releasor and Releasees concerning the sub-
ject matter hereof; and the terms of this Release are contractual and not a mere recital. Releasor represents that he has carefully read this Release and knows and understands its contents and AGREES TO this Release as his/her own free act.
