About this Event

Doors 9pm ~ Showtime 10pm ~ 21+

Come out for a one night reunion showcase celebrating thirteen years of their genre-bending progressive bluegrass from Whiskey for the Lady. The four-piece delivers a fast-paced, high-energy sound that blends punk grit with bluegrass soul.

The show also features Cowgirls' Train Set for the first time since 2017, whose uptempo arrangements and catchy songwriting are balanced with zany, sincere, and heart wrenching lyricism. This will be their final show!

Capping off the evening will be a performance by the Kansas City Bear Fighters, who will charm your pants off with infectious energy and an original holiday song or two about candy canes and horny snowmen

Cowgirl’s Train Set is a Kansas-based Americana band deeply influenced by the bluegrass, punk, swing, blues, and folk traditions. Their uptempo arrangements and catchy songwriting are balanced with zany, sincere, and heart wrenching lyricism. A plurality of singer-songwriters force listeners to guess what’s coming next, while propelling the experience ever onward with blistering melodies and unconventional changes. They have released numerous singles and two full-length albums: Bastards and Broken Things (2013) and Oh Please, Oh Please (2016). The lineup has evolved over the years, culminating in the current incarnation of Mike Calvillo (guitar, vocals), Charles Buck (banjo, vocals), Hank Osterhout (upright bass, vocals), Albert Moews (alto saxophone), and Chris Valencia (fiddle).
