KC and The Sunshine Band has celebrated more than 50 years of making booties shake. Led by Harry Wayne Casey – “KC” for short – the band burst onto the dance and disco music scene in 1973 with an impressive string of hits like “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It),” “Boogie Shoes,” “(Shake Shake Shake) Shake Your Booty,” “I’m Your Boogie Man” and “Please Don’t Go.” With more than 100 million records sold, three Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, KC and the Sunshine Band made its mark as one of the most progressive bands of the 70s and is credited with changing the sound of modern pop music. Today, you can count on hearing his music on the radio, at a nightclub, at the movies, in a sports arena or at one of the 100+ concerts KC and the Sunshine Band plays every year.
