Beginner friendly kayak tripHistoric Loch Tay populated for thousands of years as evidenced by the many crannogs found in its depths. We will leave from just outside picturesque Kenmore Village, explore some of these visible crannogs, look out for signs of beaver and the varied birdlife as we explore the shorelines. This half day trip is great for novice or experienced paddlers all year round as we will take our time to take in the sights and marvel at the view of the mighty and often snow-capped Ben Lawers for this scenic backdrop.

Whether new to kayaking or experienced and looking for a half day adventure this trip is for you. The backdrop of snow-covered Ben Lawers in Winter, the colourful tree lined hills in autumn, or the leafy greens and sunshine in the spring and summer. We will launch from just outside Kenmore and explore some visible remains of 2-3000 year old crannogs, buildings built out on the water by our iron age ancestors. We'll look out for signs of beaver cuts on the trees and maybe if lucky see one! In the summer months Osprey can sometimes be seen cruising the loch looking for a meal. Varied birdlife along the shores darting between the trees from dippers to kingfishers and many ducks, geese and swans.
This half day guided tour is 2-2.5 hours long. All paddling equipment will be provided. There is a selection of single and double kayaks to choose from depending on experience and weather conditions.
The trip is suitable for those 7 years and older and younger kids can have a great time in the front a double kayak. All that you need to bring is some warm clothes for the weather, including shoes you don’t mind getting wet. No previous kayaking experience is needed.
The cost would be £55pp. If you bring your own, venue suitable boat, the cost is £40pp.
