About this Event
We are stoked to be offering a Kayak Cleanup in Virginia Key, sponsored by Earth Breeze. This event will give you the chance to kayak around Virginia Key, explore the surrounding environment and mangroves, and snorkel all while picking up trash and cleaning up our ocean!
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can get everybody outfitted with rental gear and be ready to head out around 9! There is ample parking available at Virginia Key Outdoor Center.
Once everybody is checked in and geared up, we will be paddling for about 15-20 minutes before reaching Virginia Key North Pointe where we will clean the area. If it is too windy, we will cleanup in the lagoon! On the way back in, we will make a pit stop for some snorkeling!
We will provide mesh bags for trash, trash grabbers, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, a water cooler, kayaks, and snorkel gear!
Please pack a reusable water bottle, hat, sun shirt, comfortable clothes, and closed toe shoes.
This is an awesome opportunity, but due to the nature of the activity, young children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
