Why you’ll love it:Learn the basics or refine your skills in a safe, controlled indoor pool — no waves, no wind, just calm water and focused instruction. Includes full gear: kayak, paddle, life-vest (PFD), and all training materials. Expect 12 hours of structured instruction covering everything from stroke technique and balance to rescue drills and re-entry skills. Great for first-time kayakers, recreational paddlers, or anyone prepping for open-water trips. Even experienced paddlers benefit.

2026 Sessions (Saturdays 1–4 PM & Sundays 12–3 PM):

Series 1: Feb 14/15, Feb 21/22

Series 2: Feb 28/Mar 1, Mar 7/8

Series 3: Mar 21/22, Mar 28/29

Cost: $175 per person for the full series (less than the typical $210 if classes booked individually) — and you don’t need a YMCA membership to join! Minimum age: 16. Interested?
