Eagles Island, which lies in the confluence of the Cape Fear and Brunswick Rivers, is just minutes away from downtown Leland and offers a great chance to view wildlife in their natural habitat.Participants might get an up-close view of some of the many inhabitants of the Brunswick River and Eagles Island, including deer, porpoise, and alligators, along with the many birds that frequent these areas such as red-winged black birds, osprey, and bald eagles.
This intermediate level trip is between 6 and 7 miles long and will last up to 2.5 hours. This trip will not include stops to rest or stretch. This trip will be in full sun and will be affected by both wind and tides.
