About this Event
βThe Kay Hall Hike for Hunger is an annual community event held on the first Sunday of October in South Charleston, West Virginia. Organized by Heart + Hand Outreach Ministries, this fundraiser supports essential programs like the Heart + Hand Food Pantry, which assists over 15,000 individuals annually. β
The 2025 Hike is scheduled for Sunday, October 5, at 2:00 PM. Participants will embark on a one-mile accessible walk through the scenic areas of South Charleston. β
Registration is $20 per individual, which includes a 60th Anniversary commemorative T-shirt. Dogs are also invited to join for a $10 registration fee, with each receiving a fun doggy bandanna. Funds raised from the event directly supports our food pantry.
Named in honor of Kay Hall, the founder of Heart + Hand Outreach Ministries, the Hike for Hunger is the organization's sole food pantry fundraiser of the year. It brings together families, friends, and pets to combat hunger in the community.
