About this Event
KawaiiCon is a new anime and cosplay convention being hosted in Vancouver, BC. Sponsored by Sakura Media, HobbyBee, and UBC Anime club.
4 Local artists have come together to host this event and we aim to uplift local artists, provide a safe and fun space for people to bond over cosplay, and much more!
We acknowledge the date that has been chosen by vendor vote for the event. The top of our event schedule is a Truth and Reconciliation acknowledgment and moment of silence. Our event is run by an indigenous host, and all leftover funds from the event will be donated to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation. If you are not attending in costume we strongly encourage you to attend in orange.
This event will feature over 70 local vendors and artists, with a wide variety of interests, including anime, kawaii, kpop, fandoms, original art, apparel, home decor, toys, etc!
We are also hosting a costume contest with prizes for multiple categories! Prizes are provided by our sponsors and vendors. We will also be hosting a sticker rally with prizes! Concession available on site as well as free parking. The venue is also a short 10 min walk from Commercial Broadway Skytrain station and 5 mins by bus.
Entry is free if you are coming in costume, you may still purchase a $5 ticket and have those funds be added to our donation.
