Katumba Halloween Carnival-CIRCUS WORKSHOP
Every October, Liverpool drumming and movement troupe, Katumba Transforms the Liverpool City Centre into a playground of imagination, with performances inspiring, and engaging audiences by creating big, bold, visual shows through unexpected spectacle of drums, fire, lights, dance, theatre and more.
"This year, there are even more ways to get involved!
Every costume, every rhythm, every flicker of flame in the Katumba Halloween Carnival is created and carried by people from the local area. This year, Katumba are inviting YOU to take part in a host of workshops with a Halloween twist.
Learn to:
đCraft everything you need for a real carnival, inspired by ancestral spirits
đĽBeat out rhythms that shake the streets alive
đđ˝Move, dance, and embody the energy of carnival
...Then step into the parade itself!
Saturday 25th of October - CIRCUS WORKSHOP
Come join us at Katumba Culture Hub for a chance to discover the magic of circus with silk ribbons, poi, juggling balls, devil sticks, hula hoop and spinning plates! Playing with skill toys is entertaining, fun and educational, it is a chance to discover the magic of circus and try something completely new. We provide a safe and inclusive environment where families can come and learn new skills and have fun together. We have something for all ages and abilities with Bring the Fire Project.
Then, come and join us showcasing your silk ribbon skills at our Katumba Halloween Carnival Don't miss out on this festive opportunity to celebrate Halloween with us!
Arrival from 11:45pm for a 12pm start.
- FREE or donate what you can to help our carnival
- The ticket also gives you the chance to take part in our Katumba Halloween Carnival on the 31st of October displaying your circus skills, dressing up and having lots of fun!
- If you canât attend the carnival, it's ok to still take part in the workshops!
- Venue is wheelchair and buggy friendly.
- Parking available on Windsor Street and in John Archer Hall car park.

TICKETS
We have been partially funded by the Arts Council: that means we still have to cover a portion of the costs of the project so we have a range of ticket options including FREE tickets!!
If you're gainfully employed, the suggested donation is ÂŁ10 per session for those which will help cover the costs not covered by the funding.
OR any donation amount from ÂŁ0 under the 'PAY WHAT YOU CAN' tickets available. We appreciate whatever you are able to give in order to support us to continue making work with our Katumba community and beyond.
Please do not let finances be a barrier to you attending, NO QUESTIONS ASKED-we consider self identification enough.

Sunday 26th of October - Katumba Drumming
Come along to Liverpool One's Halloween Party from 12pm and take part in a Katumba Drumming workshop - under 18's
