About this Event
A deep dive into Katonah Yoga theory and the possibility to get high on your own supply.
Explore the magic of Katonah theory playing with breath wraps for rapture throughout an embodied movement practice. Using the body as a resource to keep us grounded to earth, we will climb a mountain in the mind with active pranayama, subtle integrated breath techniques, and playing with pranayama as meditation all underpinned by theory inspired by Taoism and traditional Chinese theory. This workshop will explore the third floor of the body, the imagination, in many cross referenced ways to leave you with high spirits and a refreshed perspective. Expand the mind and learn tools to not lose the mind in the body!
Beginners and seasoned practitioners welcome. All hours bankable for Katonah Yoga certification.

Maggie's training started in 2017 with Jill Sockman at Blue Lotus in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she completed her 200hr. In the spring of 2019, she completed her 50hr advanced training with Love Yoga in Los Angeles. She has also done well over 200hrs for her Katonah Yoga certification and now teaches Katonah specific classes and Katonah/Hatha flows. Maggie finds the magic of yoga is in quieting the chatter of the mind to be fully in the present. She blends Katonah Yoga with other styles of yoga and movement practices to inspire students to find freedom in their body and mind. She believes that time spent on your mat should provide you with techniques to have a more enjoyable life. Join her for playful imagery, nurturing asana, and tools to become more well-rounded on and off the mat.
