Looking for volunteer opportunities?
SUNDAY OF THE KATO BIKE FALL FEST OFFERS FOUR DIFFERENT ROUTES:
TWO PAVED & TWO GRAVEL ADVENTURES
The 12.4 Mile (paved) Minneopa Loop is a mostly traffic-free trail ride to Minneopa State Park where you’ll enjoy a 40-foot-tall waterfall and historic stone and timber shelter.
The 37.2 Mile (paved) Mankato Loop takes you on the scenic route of the area covering many area trails.
The 11.4 Mile (gravel) Red Jacket Loop is a great way to dip your (tires) into gravel riding. A mixture of trails and gravel roads with a fun challenging climb midway through the ride.
The 38.7 Mile (gravel) Good Thunder Loop takes riders south to, you guessed it, the town of Good Thunder for some great gravel grinding, climbs and descents!
All routes start at Mount Kato.
TAKE A DAYCATION!
Mankato is an easy 77-mile drive from the Twin Cities on scenic Highway 169. Local communities welcome riders and volunteers who come to celebrate this handsome harvest-time tour and beautiful fall colors.
Ride and Support Mankato Bicycling Year-round
The Greater Mankato Bike Walk Advocates have generated over $100,000 to fund local bicycle events, educational programs and infrastructure.
Helmets are required: Protect your melon! You only have one.
T-shirts: T-shirts (pictured below) NOTE: Limited supply of shirts will be available for purchase day of ride but save by purchasing in advance.
OUR THANKS TO ORTHO EDGE (River's Edge Hospital and The Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic)! Their sponsorship allows us to offer free registration to youth up to age 17. This is virtually unprecedented in the event world.
