About this Event
Enjoy an enchanting afternoon of melodic and fascinating percussion sounds with multifaceted artist, producer and LCMS faculty, Katie Rife. The concert will feature the rich timbre of the marimba, the lustrous and ethereal sounds of the vibraphone and more! Enticing works by local composers Jennifer Butler, Anna Hostman, Marcus Goddard, plus Australian composer Rae Howell will be showcased.
The concert will open with an informal conversation between LCMS’ Artistic Director Elizabeth Bergmann and the artist, followed by complimentary coffee, tea and refreshments before the performance. The performance will take place in the Rose Gellert Hall and will last approximately 60 min, with no intermission.
Commentary & Coffee – 2:30pm, Concert – 3:15pm
