About the Author:
Katy Goforth is a writer and editor for a national engineering and surveying organization in Greenville, South Carolina. Her writing has appeared in Brevity, Reckon Review, Cowboy Jamboree, Salvation South, and other journals. She is Best American Short Stories- and Best Small Fictions-nominated. Anchored is her first book. Her novel, Traveling Alone, is forthcoming. She was born and raised in South Carolina and lives with her spouse and two pups, Finn and Betty Anne. About the Conversation Partner:
Meagan Lucas is the author of the Anthony nominated collection Here in the Dark and the award-winning novel, Songbirds and Stray Dogs. Her short stories “The Monster Beneath” and “You Know What They Say About Karma” were listed as Distinguished in the 2023 and 2024 Best American Mystery and Suspense. Her novel Songbirds and Stray Dogs was chosen to represent North Carolina in the Library of Congress 2022 Route 1 Reads program, and won Best Debut at the 2020 Indie Book Awards. She is the Editor in Chief of Born and raised on a small island in Northern Ontario, she now lives in Flat Rock, North Carolina.
