Time: 5 pm / 17.00
Place: Galleri Duerr, Hudiksvallsgatan 6, in the exhibition of Fanny Senocq.
PROGRAM.
The Bacchanale 1903 to Gluck´s music Iphigenia en Aulide
This dance embodies the spirits of the dancing Maenads, bringing divine frenzy to life through wine, merriment and chaos.
The Slow March 1914 to Schubert´s Grande March no.5
After the devastating loss of her children in 1913, Isadora Duncan returned to choreography — transforming her grief into powerful, transcendent dances that spoke of resilience, passion, and renewal, captivating audiences then and now.
…………
Presentation and discussion.
Kathleen will introduce the two pieces and explore Isadora’s sources of inspiration. Her art continues to speak to us today, but in a way she may not have imagined: once revolutionary, it now carries a timeless call for peace.
Following the performance, the space opens for dialogue, inviting us to linger in the inspiration of Isadora’s dance and the stories it still tells.
