Jazz-Week charting vocalist and songwriter Karla Harris has captivated audiences at events such as the Sarasota Jazz Festival, Greenville Jazz Festival, Portland Jazz Festival, Oregon Coast Jazz Party, Nantucket Arts Festival, Atlanta Jazz Festival, and John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as part of the Arts Across America live performance series. In 2022 she was awarded a distinguished Jazz Road grant through the South Arts foundation. This is a concert filled with powerful, emotion-tugged vocals presented through straight-ahead and contemporary jazz, blues favorites, and a few originals, Latin and of course stunning scatting. This is musicianship at the very highest level and that by itself always leads to startlingly innovative approaches within so many of the songs.
