This event will feature free lawn seating and paid VIP table seating!

This unforgettable evening of summer elegance under the stars, will feature the enchanted sultry sounds of Karen Collins, blending a mix of Jazz and Uptown Soul.
Come experience the intimate Velvet Chair Experience ambiance, where music enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a night of sophisticated sounds on the lawn of the historic Bessie Smith Cultural Center!

This serenade under the stars features Dexter Bell & Friends, affectionately known as "Crushed Velvet," and promises to be an evening of musical delight.
Indulge yourself in this extraordinary experience created and curated especially for you!
A casual yet classy, upscale Cash Bar, curated by The Humidor, featuring signature cocktails, mocktails and fan favorites, will be on site with diverse drink selections.
We also invite you to delight yourself with delectable bites from our Cash Food Bar, hosted by Chef Chasty and other delicious Food Trucks ensuring every palate is satisfied.
This evening affair will take place on Sunday, September 28th, 2025 from 6pm-9:30 pm on the lawn of The Bessie Smith Cultural Center located at 200 MLK Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37403.
VIP seated table tickets may be purchased on Eventbrite. A limited number are also available for in-person purchase inside at The Bessie Smith Cultural Center.
VIP seated tickets will be available for purchase with tabled seating on the veranda and in front of the stage on the lawn.
Personalized bar service and food service will also be available to all VIP ticket and table holders.
