Karaoke to Catharsis- A Psychospiritual Voice Masterclass

Welcome to Karaoke To Catharsis: A Psychospiritual Singing Masterclass! Join us at My Room- A Place For Healing, Art, and The Healing Arts for a transformative experience. This event combines the joy of singing with the power of your physical connection to your emotional life to foster cathartic release and spiritual connection. Song is a gift given to us to support emotional release and discovery. In Karaoke to Catharsis you will be taking your favorite song to to sing and building your conection to it through the emotional elements of your voice. As Sinead O'Connor so aptly said, "If you do not have an emotional connection to a song, you cannot sing it." So come and connect to yourself, your spirit, and your song, and find how you were meant to be singing; authentically, freely, beautifully.

Using the techniques and practices Kayla has learned in the expertly led mentorship in The Inside Voice Technique: an ecstatic, 5-octave, mindbody approach to voice and song, you will discover the healing potential of music in a safe and supportive environment. This is a mastercalss style workshop. The first half of class will be a group grounding singing activity to activate the voice, body, and your emotional connection to it. The second half of class will be 1:1 attention from Kayla to each singer as she helps them deepen their connection to their lyrics, and melody to foster a cathartic release.

Bring in your favorite song with at least 4 lines (Like a verse or a chorus) memorized, and the rest of your lyrics handy via paper or electronic devise. This event will be capped at 12 participants in order to keep the workshop intimate, and so each participant gets enough time to find their catharsis.

This is an ALL LEVELS singing event. Anyone who identifies as a non-singer to an experienced vocalist will find this workshop exciting, grounding, and helpful to their singing expression
