About this Event
Because the event happens at a private bldg, you MUST provide us your actual email & cell number. No exceptions. Ala Moana is where you should park but NOT where the party happens. You MUST provide your info such as by filling out our contact form or email (info [at] TSasaki.org) to get the exact address. If you don't receive a response with details, that means your submission or email was not received...please resend.
Join us for another Karaoke Potluck Pool Party at Sasaki Meetup & Social Hawaii (SMASH). 5 hours of karaoke & eating indoors...&/or take a dip in the heated pool or jacuzzi/hot tub. See some of our prior events here.
BYOB (bring your own beverages). First timers come for FREE but each person should bring a main dish/entree to share (which should be >$10 & >8 servings, not snacks) OR just bring $10 extra instead.
Later, after your first time, we do ask for $5/person to defray/subsidize costs of the karaoke machine/mics, the plates/utensils/sundries/etc, & buy a small gift for the person who lets us use the place. You can always give more. And if you can’t afford it, please contact Sasaki well in advance so we can arrange something (eg, you could help setup & clean up).
The rules in the private bldg are strict. For eg, you canNOT eat or drink by the pool/jacuzzi for sanitary reasons. You cannot smoke here at all. If you do NOT want to abide by the rules, do NOT come. If you are wondering why it is so strict, it is because someone who came before you ruined it for us all. We don't want a repeat.
Park at Ala Moana or on the street. Please fill out the contact form or email (info [at] TSasaki.org) to know the exact location (it is a private bldg), stay informed w/updates & receive Sasaki's cell number/email. If you don't receive a response then we didn't receive your email/contact form.
We welcome singers of other languages. We often sing English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, & Hawaiian songs. : ) We have folks who are as young as kids to as old as seniors. Our only goal is fun.
Search YouTube to prepare your list (eg, if you want to sing the male/lower key version of Adele’s songs). Someone also suggested an open mic/talent show…so if you want to do spoken word, or standup, or play something, we would welcome you.
Keep looking out for our many events by going to Sasaki Meetup & Social Hawaii (SMASH). For example, we have hiking, filmmaking, game nights, silent disco, etc.
