Every year, Fringe Co-Director Kate Schrader campaigns for a Fringe karaoke night. Every year, she is denied.Until now.
For one night only, we’re throwing caution (and dignity) to the wind with Karaoke Please—the most unhinged, unpredictable, and gloriously off-key event of the festival. Watch your favourite Fringe artists battle it out against the general public for karaoke glory, or throw your name into the sorting hat and take the stage yourself.
Expect spot prizes, special guests, and questionable song choices. Costumes are encouraged. Being in key is not.
How does it work?
🎤 Sign up online or on the night for a chance to perform.
🎤 Names will be randomly drawn—if you’re called, it’s your time to shine.
🎤 Not keen to sing? Just come along, grab a drink, and witness the carnage.
If nobody signs up, the Fringe team will be forced to sing for two hours. You don’t want that. We don’t want that. Participate, or be haunted by workplace karaoke guilt forever.
