All righty then, so it looks like we are going to this. The Kapow Kup has been run in Mexico for the last decade, we are now going to give it a go at Picton and invade our northern neighbor.
What is the event?:
We get together a group of awesome swoop coaches and get a bunch of people that want to improve their swoop skills, do a few days of training on the Pond and then run a CP comp over the last 2 days of the event. This is the perfect lead up to the nationals CP comp which will probably happen a month or so after the event.
What does the training look like:
You get assigned a coach that you work with across the week, everyone gets to work on their individual skill set (and see the progress of others). Whether you are just sorting out 90s, or blasting through on your mutant there is something for everyone.
Goal:
The aim is basically to improve the level of swooping and canopy piloting for participants and give people an idea of what competing in Canopy piloting is all about.
Who is it for:
All levels.
Or as Derek Zoolander said: "People that can't swoop, but want to swoop good"
When: 23rd Feb (Sun) till 1st of March (Sat) - weather day inclusive
Costs: TBA - I still need to figure this out (so an idea on numbers would be super useful). The event is not for profit (just to promote the sport), so will be as cheap as possible. Normal slot price + a rego.
