Zum ersten Mal in ihrer triumphalen, fast fünf Jahrzehnte andauernden Karriere performen KANSAS ihr Meilenstein-Album „Point Of Know Return“ mit voller Power in seiner ganzen Pracht. Die Progressive-Pioniere präsentieren den Klassiker, der sich bis heute über sieben Millionen Mal verkauft hat, komplett vom atemberaubenden Anfang bis hin zum epischen Ende. Und als ob das nicht schon genug wäre, gibt es noch viele weitere Hits, selten gespielte Songs und Fan-Favoriten live zu erleben. Ein Traum für alle Progressive-, Melodic-, Classic- und Hardrocker wird endlich wahr, wenn die in Amerika extrem erfolgreiche und populäre „Point Of Know Return Anniversary Tour“ in Europa und natürlich auch in Deutschland Halt macht. Bereits 1974 veröffentlichen KANSAS ihr epochales Debüt und definieren das Progressive-Rock-Genre neu, um nicht zu sagen endgültig. Dabei bestimmen KANSAS nicht nur den Classic-Rock in den 70ern, sondern prägen diesen Style und Sound bis heute. 1976 legt die Band nach und setzt mit dem Album „Leftoverture“ und der Auskopplung „Carry On Wayward Son“ in Sachen Anspruch und Atmosphäre noch mal eine ganze Schippe oben drauf. Die energetische Single erreicht Goldstatus und hält sich unzählige Wochen in den Charts. 1978 dann ein weiterer Classic-Coup! KANSAS veröffentlichen mit „Dust In The Wind“ vom Megaalbum „Point Of Know Return“ einen ewig gültigen Klassiker, der seit damals ein monolithisches Stück Popkultur ist. Das hymnische Epos gehört dank der harmonischen Violine zu den Classic-Rock-Hymnen mit dem höchsten Wiedererkennungswert. Wirklich jeder kann die Nummer zumindest Mitsummen.
Über die Jahrzehnte machen die legendären Musiker aber nicht nur mit starken Singles und Longplayern wie 1979 „Monolith“ fortwährend von sich reden, sondern vor allem auch durch ihre Live-Auftritte. Die Progressive-Heroen KANSAS liefern Konzerte der Spitzenklasse ab, die trotz aller Komplexität eine Menge Spaß machen. Die Shows sind stimmig und schlüssig aufgebaut wie bei nur wenigen Rockbands. Auf ausufernden instrumentalen Genuss und Solo-Ausflüge der einzelnen Member, folgen immer wieder eingängige Gesangspassagen und natürlich Klassiker wie "Dust In The Wind" oder "Carry On Wayward Son". Gesunde Härte wechselt sich ab mit hymnischen Melodien. Allein der Einsatz der Trademark-Geige treibt das Energie- und Emotionslevel stets unweigerlich in die Höhe.
Nach einer längeren Releasepause gibt es 2016 mit „The Prelude Implicit“ auch wieder neues geniales Material auf Tonträger. Das 15. Studioalbum zeigt die zeitlose Brillanz von KANSAS und ihre Relevanz in der Gegenwart. Das Werk steigt hoch in den deutschen, Schweizer und amerikanischen Hitparaden ein. 2020 haben KANSAS ihr 16. Studioalbum „The Absence of Presence“ veröffentlicht. Die aktuelle Besetzung ist jetzt endlich auch bald wieder jenseits des ‚Großen Teichs‘ aktiv. Im Oktober 2022 kommen KANSAS für mehrere Shows nach Deutschland. Die Band, die die beiden Gründungsmitglieder Richard Williams an der Gitarre und Philipp Ehart am Schlagzeug enthält, zeigte sich schon 2017 in Bestform, als man zum 40-jährigen Jubiläum von „Leftoverture“ in den USA tourte. Das Live-Dokument “Leftoverture Live & Beyond“ spricht eine deutliche Sprache.
Klassiker aus diesem Meisterwerk werden natürlich auch dieses Mal von Sänger Ronnie Platt und David Ragsdale an der unerlässlichen Violine, sowie Billy Greer am Bass und Tom Brislin am Keyboard präsentiert. Aber die mit mehreren Keyboards und durch die Bank großartigen Sängern perfekt aufgestellte Truppe zelebriert auch den Progressive-Rock-Evergreen „Point Of Know Return“ in voller Länge. Vom eröffnenden Titelstück über „Dust In The Wind“ bis zum Abschluss mit „Hopelessly Human“ wird der Spannungs- und Violinenbogen gespannt. Dramatik, Virtuosität, Progressivität und Classic-Rock der legendärsten Sorte stehen auf dem Programm, wenn KANSAS die Bühne entern.

We look forward to seeing our European fans at that time.”
Newsflash!!! For the first time in their triumphant, nearly five decade-long career, KANSAS perform their milestone album "Point Of Know Return" with full power in all its glory. The progressive pioneers present the classic, which has sold over seven million copies to date, complete from the breathtaking beginning to the epic end. And as if that wasn't enough, there are many more hits, rarely played songs and fan favourites to experience live. A dream come true for all progressive, melodic, classic and hard rockers when the "Point Of know Return Anniversary Tour", which is extremely successful and popular in America, stops in Europe and of course in Germany. Founding member Richard Williams is full of anticipation: “It’s been a while since the band has been able to perform in Europe, where we have some very passionate fans. We are excited to take the Point of Know Return Anniversary Tour across Europe. Not only will they hear us perform that album in its entirety, along with other hits and deep cuts, but they will be the first fans to hear some of the songs from our (…) [latest] studio album performed live.”

Over the decades, the legendary musicians have not only made a name for themselves with strong singles and longplayers like 1979 "Monolith", but also with their live performances. The progressive heroes of KANSAS deliver top-class concerts that are a lot of fun despite all their complexity. The shows are coherent and coherently structured like only few rock bands.
