The Missouri Prairie Foundation will hold a native plant sale on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64110 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Native plants beautify landscapes and help support songbirds and other cherished wildlife. Buy native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, vines, sedges, and related products from Grow Native! professional members. Some vendors accept cash, check, or credit cards; some only cash or checks.
Native plant vendors at this event are Gaylena’s Garden, Missouri Wildflowers Nursery, Ozark Soul Native Plants, City Roots Nursery, and Sow Wild Natives. Vendor Leaf & Sky is selling native-plant-inspired home goods, native bee houses, and more.
Shoppers can stroll through the sale and purchase from each vendor. Shoppers can also pre-order plants and have their orders ready for pick up at the event. The following vendors are accepting pre-orders. When placing your pre-orders, please include your phone number and note that the order is for the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center on April 19:
Missouri Wildflowers Nursery- Order by calling 573-496-3492, by email at [email protected], or online http://mowildflowers.net/. See http://mowildflowers.net for a plant list. Orders must be placed no later than midnight on April 15.
Ozark Soul Native Plants- Order via website (preferred):https://preorder.ozarksoul.com or phone: 816-809-4062. Please visit https://ozarksoul.com/availability for current availability. Pre-order by Wednesday, April 16 at 5pm.
City Roots Nursery- Order via website until midnight on Thursday, April 17.
Sow Wild Natives- See https://sowwildnatives.com/ for a plant list. Order by emailing [email protected] the species and quantities. Pre-order by Wednesday, April 16.
Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own crates or boxes for transporting their purchased plants home. Volunteers will be available to load plants into vehicles for those needing assistance.
