About this Event
Kancil details a birthday celebration for the legendary mousedeer who outsmarted the Crocodile and his pals to reach the other side of the river for some delicious mangoes. She hums the familiar lullaby that mothers use to soothe their babies to sleep. Perched on the hill, she gazes at the once stunning orchard. "Things have changed," she murmurs, acknowledging the inevitable. As she peers at the approaching monsters, she contemplates the unknown future. She drifts off to sleep that night, unaware of what awaits her when she wakes up. Is this the end?
This production will coincide with the purple light-up of The Republic Cultural Centre in celebration of The Purple Parade.
