About this Event

This concert by Kaleidoscope will include pieces that focus on the resiliency of the human spirit. The program will feature the Georgia premiere of We Are Phoenix by Timothy C. Takach. Commissioned by a consortium of choruses (including MOS) from throughout the USA, We Are Phoenix is a 40-minute composition, accompanied by string quartet and video projections. Through poetry from multiple authors, it illuminates the analogy between humans and our planet: we both suffer loss and devastation and yet rise again and again, becoming stronger each time.
