At the crossroads of creativity and self-discovery, Kaiyah Mercedes, 18 year old LGBTQIA+ Melbourne artist, brings us a fierceness in the form of gritty guitars and untamed lyricism that mirrors her entrance into adulthood. Diagnosed with autism and ADHD at the age of 15 Kaiyah uses her songwriting to translate the world around them and draws sonic inspiration from an eclectic array of influences'MANIC!!!', the new single, is a departure from her indie-pop sophomore album 'Trying To Hate You' into a new realm of indie-pop-rock. Despite still maintaining the focus on strong lyricism, this shift in soundscape is unable to be ignored.
Taking this live show into a new genre, Kaiyah will be playing with their band and supported by Local Sweetheart and My Giddy Aunt. This all queer, neurodivergent lineup is sure take you on a musical journey of some of the best authentic live local music Melbourne has to offer
